Battalions
Would you like to meet other CERT graduates in your community, find out what others are doing, and get extra training?
CERT Battalion Coordinators are the local contacts for graduates of the Los Angeles CERT program. They organize local meetings and they work with Captain Dustin Gates to get information to CERT graduates in their areas.
If you haven’t taken CERT training yet, please check the CERT Class Schedule. You can search there for classes near you.
If you want to schedule a class for your group, you need a minimum of 20 people to be trained and a location to hold the training. Then call the LAFD Disaster Preparedness Section at 213-202-3136. Do not contact the Battalion Coordinators to schedule a class.
How to find out what LAFD Bureau and/or Battalion you are in:
If you have questions about CERT meetings (not the classes), you may contact your Battalion Coordinator by clicking on the email links below. You will need to know what Battalion you are in. There are two ways to find out what Battalion you are.
- You can go to this city-wide map (enlarge it to see details) to look up your Battalion and/or Bureau.
- If you can’t quite tell from that map, you can search by finding out your fire station number. Go to the LAFD website. Type in your address in the “Find My Station – Search for an address or locate on map” and click on your address when it appears. When you get your fire station number, come back to this page and find your fire station in the list of Bureaus & Battalions below. You can also find your Battalion Number and Bureau if you click on the “VISIT WEBSITE” in the Fire Station results.
