The above photographs were taken during CERT Call-Outs to assist the LAFD during the 2017 La Tuna & Creek Wildfires.

Did you know that you can donate to the LAFD CERT Unit through the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation? The Foundation collects funds to purchase items from the CERT Unit’s wish list which has been assembled by the LAFD Captains in charge.

Donating through the LAFD Foundation program will help the Los Angeles CERT Unit’s scores of trained volunteers increase their ability to help in the time of disaster, as they did with our past years of wildfires. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Foundation sends a tax receipt and thank-you letter acknowledging all donations.

Donate to LAFD CERT by CHECK:

Make checks payable to: LAFD Foundation and mail them to:
LAFD Foundation, LA Fire Department Foundation

Don’t forget to add “LAFD-CERT” on the check’s memo line!

Just a few of the items that the CERT Unit has on their wish list:
Tools, equipment, radios, hand tools, medical gear such as flats, back boards, disaster litters, tourniquets, LED flashlights, towing equipment, banners, tables, etc. The CERT Unit would use this equipment for disasters to support a deployment. Also assistance is needed in the ongoing “skills refresher” events that are conducted for our trained volunteers.

Thank You!
