The Los Angeles Fire Department CERT Program is proud to introduce Jeff Hole as June’s LAFD CERT Spotlight. Jeff Hole is an accomplished photographer/graphic artist with over 30 years of experience. He formed his company Visual Concepts, in 1986 in Burbank, California. Jeff’s exceptional work in both photography and graphic design, led Visual Concepts into the 21st Century as an innovative and modern company. As a young child, Jeff’s father moved their family from Ohio to California when he became employed by Hughes Aircraft in the aerospace industry. In 1984, Jeff received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Photography from Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara as well as an AA Degree in Graphic Design from Moorpark College.

Outside of the graphic design world, Jeff is a consummate community volunteer. He is a member of the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Call Out Team within the LAFD Valley Bureau. Jeff first completed his CERT basic training in April of 2017 and wasted no time volunteering for possible LAFD Call Out Team Deployments. Jeff soon found himself on LAFD CERT deployments to some of the biggest wildfires to impact Los Angeles, California in years. Wildfires such as the recent devastating Woolsey Fire.

Jeff is an active member of the Valley Bureau Fire Patrol and volunteers across the City in a variety of LAFD CERT activities. Recently Jeff was formally recognized by the Board of Fire Commission with a Certificate of Appreciation for his exceptional dedication during the 2017 brush fire season and was also recognized for his excellent work as an organizing member of the Valley Emergency Radio Training classes of 2018. If that wasn’t enough, Jeff has played a huge part in the production of a variety of 2019 promotional videos produced specifically for the Los Angeles Fire Department CERT Program. The Los Angeles Fire Department CERT Unit is proud to name Jeff Hole June’s LAFD CERT Spotlight. Jeff continues to be an asset to the CERT Program and directly contributes to making Los Angeles LAFD Disaster Ready.
