Jackie Perry, Seminole County, FL

Used CERT volunteers for EOC Activations, answering phones, special needs, data entry, etc.

School Bus Drivers, CERT-trained, assist with evacuations.

CERT members provide Rehab for Emergency Response Personnel (Firefighters/EMT's, Paramedics) during extended incidents: The CERT Rehab program has flourished past my expectations. The participants have been attending special training so they can provide this valuable service.

Do you have a policy in place for utilizing CERT in rehab for emergency response personnel.

In Los Angeles, rehab is done by a separate team. Contact Captain Kevin Nida, the Los Angeles Fire Department's City Radio Officer at (213) 978-3536 or e-mail him at kevin.nida@lacity.org.
