"Seventy two hours, where I stand"

« on: April 04, 2012, 10:01:45 AM »

Our CERT has been repeatedly called upon by local FD and PD to help locate missing at-risk people. The elements of this seem very different from the usual CERT search-and-rescue training, including volunteer management, public interviewing, personal safety, and search management/communications.  Anyone have experience to share, or references, or comments?

our In.Dept.of Homeland security has classes on searching for lost personnel. You might check with your EMA director to see what classes are offered in your area.
