September, 2006

Winds and rain tore through town on September 2, knocking down trees, wires and residents' power.

Eight roads in town also had to be fully closed and 10 were partially closed because of fallen trees and wires. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteers came out to help with traffic control until CL&P (Connecticut Light & Power) arrived to handle the downed wires.
