Battalion 12 Information

Battalion 12 is uniquely different due to its geographic size of 72 square miles consisting of 11 communities with 7 Fire Stations within its borders. Battalion 12 territory consists of both rural and urban areas of the city. Mountain ranges that fall within the Battalion are high hazard areas for fire. Holy Cross is a level 2 trauma center. We also have Olive View Medical Center nestled in the foothills of the Northern Valley in the community of Sylmar. Within the boundaries of the Battalion there are numerous freeways, 210, 118, 5, and the 405. We have Whiteman Air field for small craft, where LA County's CA-TF2 is located.
