I liked the Adopt an ARK Post. As CERT continues to grow in Ogden, Utah, we are looking to build our emergency supply caches within the city. We a few POD's from Homeland Security Grants but want to improve on that. Our 13 CERT Districts are defined by the 13 Elementary Schools within the city. My concept of Adopt A CERT is to create a need list for each district, and a collection day. Our need lists are very large. Some districts have nothing but the equipment in their bags. Many of our schools have community partners which are willing to help, but the first word in CERT is still Community. The size of the donation is immaterial. Has Anybody tried something like this before?

Kind of like a bennifit dinner concept?
We have not really tried anything like that but we do get bottled water and gatoraid donated from a gas drilling and exploration company for use in FD and PD rehab operations as well as disasters.
