The CERT team has had 2 deployments since completing their training in June 2003. On June 28 they were deployed as a safety team for an event held in the city to commemorate the 4th of July, called Summerfest. Several Thousand people attend. They were used for First Aid, traffic control, command post staffing, and rehab. On July 24, one team member was used on a fire scene to assist the investigators in documentation and scene lighting.
