CERT was acknowledged at a city press conference
held on January 14, 2004 at the Northridge Fashion Square
(One of the casualties of the 1994 Northridge Earthquake).
On Thursday, January 15, 2004, CERT members took part in the LAFD exercise at Fire Station 88 in Sherman Oaks. The CERT members extracted a victim from a car after stabilizing it, and searched through the rubble with the LAFD for other victims.
