  Emergency Preparedness Initiative (EPI)
The Initiative’s mission is two-fold:
  1. To encourage the emergency management field to take into account the varied needs of people with disabilities in all levels of their planning and response activities, and to actively involve members of this community in their efforts
  2. To raise the awareness of people with disabilities of what they can do to prepare for their own safety and survival during times of emergency, and to encourage them to become partners with emergency management personnel.
